The number of humanoid robots is growing quickly, and new announcements appear every month. If you want to know what really exists, you need to distinguish between three situations: a robot you can order today, a robot running in pilots with selected customers, and a robot that is still in development. This overview puts the best-known platforms side by side, with their status as of late October 2026.

A few ground rules:

  • We rely on information from the manufacturers and on reporting in the trade press. We have not tested performance ourselves.
  • Prices are indicative, often excluding VAT, shipping and integration, and change quickly.
  • ZETTA does not sell or deliver any of these robots. This is a market overview, not an offer.

Chinese platforms

Unitree G1

Status: available. The G1 is a compact humanoid, 1.32 metres tall and about 35 kilograms, with a depth camera and 3D LiDAR, 23 to 43 degrees of freedom (depending on version) and about two hours of battery life, according to Unitree. It starts at US$13,500. The G1 is sold through European resellers, mainly to universities, research institutes and developers. In Germany, prices in 2026 ranged from roughly €18,000 to €27,000, MonsterDealz reports.

Unitree R1

Status: available in several markets. The R1 is Unitree's cheapest humanoid: 29,900 yuan in China. Since 2026 it has been offered internationally through AliExpress, at higher prices than in China, according to the South China Morning Post. Sources differ on exactly which European countries are served; check with each seller.

AgiBot A2, X2 and G2

Status: available, European roll-out under way. According to Omdia, AgiBot was the world's largest humanoid supplier in 2025 (TechNode). The company has three lines: the A2 (full-size, for interaction and presentation), the X2 (compact) and the G2 (industrial, on wheels). For Europe, AgiBot is working with Minth Group for Germany, among others, Yicai reports.

UBTech Walker S2

Status: industrial deliveries, mainly in China. The Walker S2 is designed for factories and can swap its own battery. UBTech began large-scale deliveries at the end of 2025. Airbus bought units in January 2026 to explore applications in aircraft manufacturing (Invest in China). Reports differ on the exact order value and delivery numbers.

Xpeng IRON

Status: in development, production starting. Carmaker Xpeng commissioned a production line for IRON in Guangzhou in 2026. The goal is mass production by the end of 2026, initially for its own stores and sites, with customer deliveries in China and abroad from 2027, Gasgoo reports. Price and capacity have not been disclosed.

US platforms

Agility Robotics Digit

Status: in commercial use (US). Digit moves totes in warehouses and factories. In 2024, GXO became the first to sign a multi-year robots-as-a-service agreement (GXO). Digit is not sold as a stand-alone product for the European market.

Boston Dynamics Atlas

Status: in production, 2026 fully booked. At CES in January 2026, Boston Dynamics presented the production version of the electric Atlas: 56 degrees of freedom, up to 50 kilograms of lift, 2.3 metres of reach and autonomous battery swapping. All 2026 units go to Hyundai and Google DeepMind; new customers follow in early 2027, according to Boston Dynamics.

Figure 03

Status: in use with selected customers, no public sales. Figure AI presented Figure 03 in October 2025, designed for its Helix AI model and for both businesses and, eventually, homes. According to Figure, its first production line (BotQ) can build up to 12,000 robots a year. There is no public price or delivery date.

1X NEO

Status: pre-order, US deliveries planned for end of 2026. NEO targets home use. Price: at least US$20,000 or about US$500 per month, according to heise online. For unfamiliar tasks, a 1X employee can control the robot remotely (1X). There is no European delivery date.

Tesla Optimus

Status: in development. Tesla is investing heavily in Optimus; in its October 2026 quarterly results, the company cited spending on AI and Optimus as a reason for lower profit, Electrek writes. An external sales date or price has not been officially confirmed.

Apptronik Apollo

Status: pilots. Apptronik works with Google DeepMind, which develops its Gemini Robotics AI model partly on Apollo. Apollo runs mainly in pilots with industrial partners.

European platform

NEURA Robotics 4NE1

Status: reservations, delivery planned. Germany's NEURA Robotics is taking reservations for the 4NE1. The price is reported at around €98,000, with first deliveries planned from the end of 2026. NEURA is one of the few European makers of a full humanoid.

What stands out?

  1. Two worlds. Chinese manufacturers ship the largest numbers, often relatively affordable robots that are on sale now. US manufacturers ship fewer units, mainly to large industrial customers, and invest heavily in AI.
  2. "Available" does not yet mean "ready to work independently". Most robots you can buy today are platforms for development and research. Putting them to productive use takes software, integration and time.
  3. Europe is still a small market for the makers. Few manufacturers offer official European delivery, documentation and service. That is exactly where much needs to happen in the coming years, including CE marking and the Machinery Regulation.

How to compare for yourself

In a concrete comparison, these questions are more useful than a list of specifications:

  • What task should the robot do, and has the manufacturer demonstrably shown that task outside a demo?
  • Is the robot deliverable in the EU today, with a declaration of conformity and a European contact party?
  • Who provides service, parts and updates, and for how long?
  • Which software is open, and what is closed or dependent on a cloud service?
  • What is the total cost, including integration and maintenance?
